What's in my purse...

So, I read somewhere online today that the average woman has 25 things in her purse.

Well then, let's see if I'm extraordinary or what...

1 - Wallet. We won't count what's inside that.
2 - Book of stamps
3 - Chili's gift certificates (4) and business card of the manager - received when we had the worst service EVER a few weeks back
4 - receipts (4)
5 - T-passes (2), October and November
6 - black pen - ball point
7 - $35 that I need to remember to give to Cheryl
8 - concert stub from Monday's American Idol concert
9 - state ID
10 - cruise ship guest card from my trip to Alaska last month
11 - little black thingy that holds business cards
12 - key ring with four rings and eight keys on it - I probably only use two of those keys with any semblance of regularity
13 - access card for my company's building
14 - watch
15 - medication in a little bottle
16 - medication in inhaler form
17 - medication in blister pack form
18 - lip balm
19 - portable thingy of perfume which I always carry but rarely wear
20 - er, tampon
21 - another pen
22 - gum wrappers (no gum)
23 - another black pen - gel writer!
24 - two tissues
25 - a HUGE amount of change - $7.96 in change actually

Wow. I just feel so average now.

So, as you can see, I finally looked up your blog thing. I was hoping to see pictures from Alaska, but I liked the narratives about your trip. A few times, you said you were a bad person, but I guess that makes me a piece of crud becuase I am just reading all this now and you have been home from your trip for over a month. Sorry! It sounds like your trip was really something! And I got your postcard and your email. Thank you.

I guess I chose to post a comment on this one because I am always intested to see if the contents of someoneelse's purse are more scary than mine. So, as of right now,: a huge wad of tissues, my wallet, my checkbook, dozens of receipts, several small pink slips of paper with phone messages for me, cell phone, gum wrappers, several pencils and pens, a cough drop, two largish sets of keys, lipstick, concealer, more tissues, a random $10 bill, a pay stub, various pieces of paper with "important" things written on them, some change, a small mirror, Blistex, a barrettte, some gum (wrapped), and some key chain thing that I think I confiscated from one of the kids. Mind you, this is in a 6" by 8" purse with only two compartmenents.

I have no idea who you are, but the subject interests me so this is what's in my purse:

In Black (winter/fall) purse: wallet containing: two drivers licenses (1 expired), student ID card with bus pass, library card, King Soopers card, an Avs Mastercard Card that hasn't been activated, a visa card belonging to my mom (for odd occasions), NO visa card of my own (a new one has to be sent to me since a ATM ate it), money, a few receipts, some ticket stubs (Avs v. Pens, Avs preseason, DU Pioneers v. Minnesota, Denver Cup @ DU, Coyotes v. Mighty Ducks, Mammoth v. Rochester, Mammoth v. New Jersey, CSU football v. CU, Rockies v. Cubs, Rockies v. Cubs, Rockies v. Dodgers, Rockies v. Diamondbacks, Butchart Gardens in Canada, Nutcracker at Colorado Ballet, Dorian at the Buell) some business cards (Kinko's, Fascinations, and, oddly, a Seattle hotel and a Quebecois bank (?)) UO club hockey schedule (eh?) health insurance card, driver's insurance card, social security card, and many punch cards (Airport Express, Omni Shuttle, Siamese Plate, Subway, Prufrocks, Peaberry, Buchanan's, Caffé Solé, and 2 from Pablo's--1 used up. Yes, I am aware I have an addiction) gum (Orbit in freshmint) mints in a tin a bunch of wallet-sized photos in a little plastic flip thing (containing my sister, me&Arian, Damien, my brother, Carmia, Jessica, Emelie, Megan, Amy, Rhune, and John) hand lotion (Nivea) travel-sized Purell (antibacterial hand gel) a tea-tin containing: 1 packet Q-Tip Treat&Go (contains a q-tip and a little reservoir of neosporin-type stuff) 1 bandaid, assorted advil, midol, & tylenol allergy pills (24-hour dosage of all except the advil, of which I have 72 hours worth), and two cough-drops/throat lozenges some airline tickets (Denver to Portland, Portland to Denver, Seattle to Eugene...damn, I need to go somewhere else for a change!) two tampons (those new Tampax Pearls...I'm such a sucker for advertising (and advertising majors) but they really are cool!) a package of kleenex to go (little packages with reclosable openings) a checkbook two writing utensils (1 pen/1 mechanical pencil) 1 travel nail file 1 lipstick which is actually a dark lipgloss (Covergirl Bronze Goddess®, hey, I don't make this shit up) In beige (spring/summer) purse: (this purse is new!) Gum (same kind) mints (same kind) tea tin (containing the same stuff as the above tea tin, only difference is it has cranes on it instead of a lemon) Kleenex ToGo 2 tampons (same kind) lipstick (same kind) checkbook (beige instead of green) date/address book detachable snap-on mirror (came with the purse) writing utensils (1 pencil and 1 pen, again) So as you can see, the only difference is that there's no nail file in the summer purse but there is a datebook and a mirror. Oh, and the checkbook is a different color. The wallet moves back and forth between the two purses and so do my keys and cell phone, which I didn't bother to put on here. I'll probably move the nail file and the photo thing to the summer purse when it gets to be really summery, too. As well as add sunglasses pretty soon.

I'm doing a project for school, and was wondering if anybody here could read and then contribute to my Message Board? It's a survey to find out what people carry with them on a day to day basis. I need as many people to participate as possible. If you could also forward this to any friends or family that you think would be willing to participate? thank you! kellianne Caulfield

What's in my purse...
-wallet
-pen, pencil, and a highlighter
-calendar
-powder compact
-Skittles(I forgot I had those...)
-a bracelet
-a tube of lip gloss, Chap-Stick, and some Chap-Stick vanilla lip balm
-keys
-Walgreen's lotion and some Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon antibacterial lotion.

That's all!

i carry lotion,makeup case,wallet,day planner, mail,lipgloss,handsoap,inkpens,pencil,glasses,medication

i have a wallet,store cards,cellphone,gum,lotion,handsoap,mirror,cosmeticpouch(with things in it)agenda book,gum,mints,pens,chapstick,w2forms,change,

I had my purse snatched several years ago and since then have been obsessive about carrying as little as I can. People laugh about the tiny little purses I carry. Usually I have wallet, small day planner, hairbrush, loreal lipstick, small bottle of lotion, asthma inhaler, and sunglasses in a hard case. I have been known to pack in a mini umbrella too, although that requires some configuring.
